Frustrated by poor quality, unhelpful service and a lack of information, Brayco was set up to design and source better benches sinks and shelves for commercial kitchen users.

The idea is to supply great quality products -- in a friendly manner, at insanely attractive prices -- same day, if necessary.

We are focussed on expanding our range intelligently and honestly. Over the years we've rapidly increased the number of products we sell, often prompted by the good ideas of our customers.  But that doesn't mean we sacrifice quality. The Brayco mission is to give better quality products that are more useful and easier to assemble, all at cheaper prices. If you find a cheaper product, it will more than likely be an inferior product.

Company Director, Harry Bray says; “Where it makes sense we will change our designs to better solve a particular problem. Our benches are cost-effective, but we don't cut-corners when it comes to strength or changing a design to make a better product.”

We've invested in huge warehouses nationwide that we keep fully stocked. We are not resellers. You are dealing direct with the designers and importers, so there are no greedy middleguys taking their cut. 

The result: you can get your kitchen organised with a minimum of fuss at a fabulous price.

We don't see our job as providing flimsy, cheap products that won’t last; we see it as helping their customers get the right products at the right price.

Anyway, enough about us ... here's just a few examples of improvements that shows we are constantly thinking about what we do ...

1.5mm Galvanised Undershelves
Brayco uses 1.5mm polished galvanised undershelves rather than the 1.2mm more commonly available. The cheaper shelves give a mottled and camouflaged look. Great if you are in combat, sure. But they are  flimsy and likely to break under any moderate pressure. We also offer stainless steel undershelves if you are in an environment that truly needs it. We can help you decide.

NO Aluminium Corners 
We avoid aluminium corners on undershelves. They make a great dirt trap requiring constant cleaning and can harbour a nasty surprise for the health inspector.

Bench Support Bars 
On our longer benches Brayco uses 3 support bars running down the full length of the bench. This innovation makes the longer benches much stronger and deadens the noise.

Leg Attachments 
Leg Attachments -- this nifty accessories slide over the legs and give you an anchor point to conveniently attach MDF, acrylic or other panels to any bench and turn them into cheap cabinets. They are insanely popular and save clients tons of money.

Leg Attachment to Bench 
For many years we worked out that it is stronger and more hygienic to attach the legs over a single support on the underside of the bench. The grub screws go through the leg and into the strong cylinder built into the underside of the bench. We do this for 3 reasons: 

1. The shelf packs better -- the undershelf doesn't fly around the package in transit and damage the bench. 
2. It is stronger -- the cylinder is the exact fit with the leg -- there is no movement and over time that means a longer lasting bench. The leg doesn't fight against just the grub screw to maintain its strength. 
3. It is more hygenic. There is only one seal with the leg and not 2 -- so less places to harbour dirt.

Sink Shelves 
We have a sink shelf that attaches over the support structure of the sinks -- it just clips on - no messy installation. 

Castor Kits
Our castor kits aren't just 4 wheels with plastic inserts that you pop into the end of the leg. We tried that at first and it is a complete disaster. Sure, they pop in, but if you move the bench around they have an unnerving habit of popping out again too. No use whatsoever. So, we completely re-manufacture the leg. Inside the leg we weld a very thick steel plate which you screw our castors into. All our castors come with brakes. They are therefore very strong. We tested this by constantly putting more and more weight on a 1800mm bench and rolling it around until the bench broke -- it took 600kg before one leg gently buckled. 

610 Sinks 
Why come out with a range of 610mm deep sinks? Why not just sell the 700mm sinks forever? 
The reason: they fit exactly next to our affordable range of 610mm benches. Not all our customers have the need or the budget or the space to fully fit our their space with the 700mm splashback range. Now, these customers have a solution. It's hard to stock this many sinks in 6 locations, but it is the correct thing to do.
